For ten years, Mike & Cheryl Frith ran a B&B at Kinloch House, Strontian. In 2005, Otterburn was purpose-built for bed and breakfast - and now their guests can benefit from the very best facilities.  Otterburn has been awarded a 4 star grading under VisitScotland's Quality Assurance scheme.

Situated just 50 metres from the shores of Loch Sunart, with magnificent views across the loch, Otterburn is the ideal base from which to explore the Ardnamurchan and Morvern peninsulas, and nearby Moidart.

At Otterburn, you can experience for yourselves the stress-free atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands, with its stunning scenery and friendly people.

A very warm welcome is assured to our guests, with two extremely comfortable en-suite rooms, each with hospitality trays of tea, coffee and biscuits.  A hearty Scottish breakfast is served using local produce.

The dedicated guest lounge, with Sky TV, DVD and CD player and a large range of books and games, overlooks the lochside.

Sunart is a naturalist's and walker's paradise - otters are regularly seen during breakfast, and the birdlife is astonishing.  Walkers will find many little-trodden routes, ranging from low-level tracks such as the Ariundle Reserve to more challenging hill climbs such as Beinn Resipole.  Fishing for trout and salmon in our rivers and lochs is also a popular pastime with many of our guests, and Forest Enterprise has developed a network of off-road cycle trails for the more adventurous bike rider.

Being keen naturalists and photographers, Mike is happy to help you find that elusive otter or Golden Eagle or to give you ideas for days out visiting the many local places of interest.
